There is a reason they call it Bear Creek.
Jack Nicklaus designed this Country Club in the hill side of Murrieta CA. This classic Nicklaus design has huge rolling greens with some teeth off the tee to match. Going into this weeks event was an experiment on what my mind needs to achomplish on each shot, forcing myself to lock into each swing with an added sense of pressure and awareness. Taking no shot for granted and focusing on making my skill come out instead of just allowing it to.
Although the scores were not good enough to make it inside the money, I was able to learn my new process and figure out how I will approach my upcoming events.
As I prepare to fly out this week for a few back to back events in Texas, I will be working on creating the mentality I need both on and off the course. Now is the time for me to execute each golf shot at the skill level I am capable of. Stay tuned for the next blog to follow along with my preparation process for the Texas State Open Qualifying this week in Dallas TX.
